Sustrans, the organisation that aims to improve access to active travel for UK’s communities, will be welcoming a new Chief Operating Officer. Starting in October, Matt Winfield, a 17-year veteran with the organisation, will be moving from his current role as Executive Director for England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
He will be working alongside 900 staff members to strengthen relationships and bring greater consistency across geographic teams. He will be instrumental in helping them reach net zero and in reducing emissions.
Max Winfield added at being appointed to this new role:
“We are all here to make a difference and encourage more walking, wheeling and cycling – I look forward to meeting colleagues across the UK, sharing best practices and supporting the strong relationships we have with devolved administrations and organisations.”
