The Bikeability Conference, the annual celebration of cycling training and innovation is back. After a brief hiatus owing to pandemic restrictions, people from across the country will be meeting once again to share their experiences, developments, and research in person once again.

This year, Eastside Rooms, Birmingham will play host to the conference from 10 am to 4 pm on the 24th of February. A range of talks and panels will be available on the day, featuring leading academics in immersive cycling experiences, inclusivity for women, girls, and disabled people in cycling as well as a chance to meet this year’s Winner of the Rising Star Award.

The roster includes leading researchers Catherine Purcell of Cardiff University, and Kate Wilmut of Oxford Brookes University focussing on Training children with SEND needs. A case study of Forest Academy by SEND coordinator Claire Edmeades will take a deep dive into practical inclusion and accessibility in a school environment.
