Modeshift is off to a great start with First Step Cycle

We are shifting our plans up a gear as schools continue to join our bid to make Hull the most active city in the UK. Our quick and efficient pathway to achieving Green and Bronze is setting them on the road to impactful, long-lasting change to the air quality around their schools, active travel, and sustainable journeys to and from school.

Just this month, we have welcomed Thanet Primary School, Bellfield Primary School, Priory Primary School and Sirius Academy West to our Active Hull school ranks! We’ll be working with schools to get them working towards their Green and Bronze level accreditation using a variety of our sustainable travel initiatives.

Our sustainable travel initiatives include scooting, cycling and safety in pedestrian travel. As lifelong skills for transportation and eventual independence, we will be working with pupils and schools to make these activities enjoyable and safe for all.

We have new schools coming on every week, so come join the First Step Cycle active travel movement!
