Cycle Maintenance Course

February 2, 2016

Join us this February as we enter in to the world of Cycle Maintenance!

Our latest Cycle Maintenance Course will be held on Monday the 15th of February here at our offices located on Springfield Way in Anlaby from 10am – 4pm.

The one-day course is designed to offer individuals the chance to cover all of the A, B, C’s of bike maintenance – ensuring that you’re able to keep your wheels turning day after day.

The first part of the course includes an interactive power point presentation which will explain all of the basic tools, equipment and knowledge you’ll need to care for your own bike out on the road. From there you’ll then be able to put that knowledge to the test and get hands on with our fleet of bikes.

On the course you will:

  • Learn the correct names for the parts of a bike
  • Learn about tyre pressure and wheel sizes
  • Remove and replace your wheels correctly
  • Remove and replace tyres without causing a puncture
  • Fit a new inner tube
  • How to tell if your brake blocks need replacing
  • Learn how to replace your brake blocks to achieve maximum wear and braking power
  • Learn how to clean and re lubricate brake cables

Thanks to all of that hands on practice and expert advice you’ll be fixing faults and cycling safe in no time. Not only will your bike be better off, but you’ll even notice a boost in your riding confidence too, knowing that you can now handle any of the problems Britain’s roads might throw at you.
